The Phoenix trip was unbelievable. My friend and helper Loraine organized me so I could meet with local retailers on 2 days and also arranged for some down time to do some tourist adventures.
We now have a retailer in Phoenix. It is A’ Nu Image (Reliable Medical Products Inc) 1-877-434-5585. We also have stores interested from all over the States. So I’m looking forward to following up and getting their business.
We used Hotwire to get a hotel and had a great deal on the Ramada in Glendale, $45 per night – couldn’t get better than that!!! We hired a car from Fox Rent-a-Car, great price but got persuaded to do the pre-paid gas – big mistake. They charged $5 per gallon and the local price was $3.89 per gallon. So won’t be doing that again. However, the car was great and we had no problems, so would recommend Fox.
We went to a rodeo one evening which had bull-riding, just minutes from our hotel.
We went to Sedona, just 1.5 hours north, with fantastic scenery on the journey. The Pink Jeep Tour was so much fun and again the scenery was breathtaking.
The Apache Trail was another must-do adventure. We did the Dolly Steamboat cruise on Canyon Lake and then did the drive along the trail. I was glad Loraine was driving, there were sheer cliff drops on the one side, along the way.
The scenery was just like you see in the old western movies, so memories of Rawhide and Rowdy Yates (Clint Eastwood for those of you who are too young to remember the show!) were conjured up and we enjoyed singing the theme tune.
We flew Delta and although there was a delay in Detroit, we were thankful that we didn’t fly Southwest on the plane that had the sky light.
All in all the trip was very successful, with new retailers and lots of fun memories. Arizona is a wonderful state, the people are unbelievably friendly and would recommend a trip there if possible.
AND NOW – BACK TO WORK
